Corrie Bird entered the world in 1977 as the daughter of a soon-to-be basketball legend. Her mama Janet Condra and superstar daddy Larry Bird were high school sweethearts but didn’t last long after getting hitched. Their short marriage ended while Corrie was still a tiny baby.
So Corrie was raised mostly by her mama and stepdad in her hometown in Indiana. Meanwhile, her daddy was blowing up as an NBA star with the Boston Celtics. He wasn’t really around much, some child support checks, the occasional gift or Christmas card. Not exactly father of the year material.

She married a security officer named Trent in 2008. They’ve got two kiddos together, plus two from Trent’s previous relationship. Over 10 years later, they’re still going strong.
Corrie also has half siblings on both sides of the family, including a talented singer sister, Mandy, she’s close with.
So while she didn’t always get the support a daughter hoped for from her daddy, Corrie carved her own path. Nothing’s been handed to her, she achieved success through hard work and determination.

Mariah Bird – The Adopted Larry Bird Daughter
Mariah hit the adoption jackpot in 1993 when just a tiny baby.
